Susurrous Cessation

The pseudo-sun sinks slowly into obscurity
whilst she sheds crocodile tears
for her most unbeloved lover
whose visage was less sanguine
subsequent to his exsanguination—
leaving his spurious mistress,
still standing, to consider
the sibliance
as his last inspiration
became expiration—
now having elapsed
she discharges herself of her consort
already severed
from several more substantial parts.
